Coulter’s Flawed Diatribe
Ann Coulter’s recent over-heated screed against Trump — feeling for all the world like a personal vendetta, a No No for anyone wanting to pass themselves off as a legitimate journalist making a valid point — has a core flaw. She argues that Trump is a three time loser and should be kicked to the curb. That argument, of course, is based squarely on the proposition that Trump is, in fact, a three time loser. That proposition, in turn, is predicated on the notion that the elections Trump “lost” were valid and their outcomes legitimate. Coulter doesn’t defend, let alone address, these poison pills in her diatribe, but simply embeds them into her trademark spirited narrative and then sprint past them on the way to her foregone conclusion. In doing so, she swallows the camel of the growing mountain of evidence pointing to the illegitimacy of both the process and the outcomes of the elections Trump “lost.” Coulter’s construct is a House of Cards.
